BIG breaks are flowing in the Northern billiards interclub competition, with Works Blue's Graeme Pickett, scoring 119 this week, following on from David Bates's 132 last week.

Pickett gave Greg Williams, of the Launceston RSL White team, a 365 start and fell four points short of catching him.

The match ended in a 2-2 draw, with Ethan and Zane Brown winning for Black, Denis Collins joined Williams as RSL's winners.

Works Red and the Raiders also drew 2-2. Phil Rowbottom and Bob Cain won for Red, Barry Glover and Lionel Young were the Raiders' winners.

Works Navy won 3-1 against Exeter. Legg, Phil Page and Ray Skinner won for Navy, while Derek Peart was Exeter's winner.

Works Gold defeated the Flaming Devils, 3-1. John Saggers, Rolf Stevenson and John Fraser, scored wins for the Gold team, Heath Rainbow won for the Devils.

Josh Rainbow, for the second week in a row, lost by just two points in another cliffhanger.

Due to a mix-up in scheduling Works Green has claimed a 4-0 forfeit over Works Black.

The annual dinner will be on November 12 at the Works Club, with presentation of trophies and awards. Get your tickets at the club or phone 0408132699.
