Player profile
LES Higgins, of Hobart, is the current Tasmanian billiards and snooker champion.
To date, Higgins, 46, has won 15 state snooker and 18 state billiards championships.
The only other Australian player who has dominated state championships to that extent is the late Bob Marshall, of Western Australia.
Higgins won three Australian age championships and was regarded as a player destined for the lucrative English professional circuit.
By the time he racks his cue he will have set a mark that surely will never be beaten in any state
