A golden 100-break for Bates
The match between Black and Gold, ended in a two-all draw.
Gold player John Stevenson (270) said this one was for Bobby Woods when he beat Peter Wallace (270), while Bruce Lockley (215) beat John Fraser (195) and Rolf Stevenson (255) beat Andrew Saltmarsh (230).
Works Green won 3-1 against Works Navy - Lee Morcom (240) beat Ray Skinner (265), Glen Johansen (270) beat John Fordham (275) and Dean Wilson (280) beat Phil Page (260).
Works Navy player Ben Conrads (300) avoided a clean sweep, coming from behind, to win his match against George Zammit (280) by a single point, 400-399.
Exeter RSL, at home, were too strong for Works Red, winning 4-0 - Adam Bindoff (295) beat Peter Seaman (295), Derek Peart (290) beat Keith Coomber (165), Chris Reid (260) beat Bob Cain (280) and Rex Swain (185) beat Phil Rowbattom (275).
Longford RSL remain on top of the ladder after winning 3-1 against Works Blue - Greg Williams (270) beat Michael Leslie (230), Graeme Purdon (320) beat Jemma Sampson (320) and Wayne Purdon (245) beat Graeme Pickett (-120).
The Blues' only winner was Hans Georgeiff (270) beating Adrian White (150).
The Flaming Devils had this week's bye.

Clark memorial
THE Shane Clark memorial billiards event will be played at the Claremont RSL this weekend, featuring players from North, South and the North-West.
Play starts at 10.45am on Saturday with two groups of six players competing in frames of 50-up billiards.

1980 champ beamed in for reunion
Almost 100 guests saw White from London and also heard from the championship runner-up, Launceston's Ron Atkins.
White was 18 years old when he won the world amateur championship, and he went on to become one of the all-time greats, featuring in six world professional championships.
He may visit Tasmania next year as part of an Australian tour with current world champion Neil Robertson, of Australia.

RESULTS: Northern Tasmanian billiard champion Graeme Pickett, playing for Works Blue, made a 99 break on Thursday night, missing out on the first century of the season by just millimetres when the balls lined up, making a scoring shot near- impossible. Pickett's team went down to Works Gold 3-1. Gary Bjarnoe-Elliott (140) beat Peter Donati (105), Rolf Stevenson (260) beat Michael Leslie (225) and John Fraser (200) beat Graeme Pickett (-125). Hans Georgeiff (275) was Blues' only winner, against Steven Leary (260).
Works Green, the reining premier, travelled to Longford for its first win of the season, beating Longford RSL 3-1. Lee Morcom (245) beat Wayne Purdon (240), Glen Johansen (275) beat Graeme Purdon (315) and Dean Wilson (285) beat Adrian White (145). For Longford, Greg Williams (275) won against Dallas Fry (270).
Works Black was too strong for Works Red, winning 3-1. David Bates (-65) beat Peter Seaman (290), Bruce Lockley (220) beat Barry Glover (250) and Terry Adams (170) beat Alan Armatige (235). Keith Coomber (170) won for Red, beating John Saggers (270)
The Flaming Devils moved up to fifth position on the ladder with a 3-1 win against Works Navy. Roydyn Bishop (140) beat Allan Legg (265), Josh Rainbow (310) defeated Ray Skinner (260) and Wally Sully (260) beat Phil Page (255). For Navy, John Fordham (280) defeated Heath Rainbow (285).
Exeter RSL had this week's bye.
