Doug Salter Billiards
The Northern team of David Bates, Graeme Pickett, Peter Donati, Roydyn Bishop, Keith Coomber and Gary Bjarnoe-Elliott are favourites to retain the Salter Shield when they take on South and North West at the Works Club over the weekend, 5th/6th. May.
North hold the Shield, having scored 18 wins to North West 15 and South 3, at the Penguin Sports and Services Club last year.
The Southern Team will be without State Billiards Champion Les Higgins who is preparing for the IBSF World 6 red Championship in India, however they should provide strong opposition with a mix of young and experienced players.
North West led by the Shane Clark Memorial winner Geoff Lehman cannot be taken lightly as they went very close to providing an upset last year.
Southern Team: Steve Carrol, Brendan Milburn, Wayne Stokes, Chris Forsyth, Marcus Jackson, John Matthewson.
North West Team: Geoff Lehman, Grenville Brown, Joe Bonnici, Alan Skellington, Bob Boucher and Gerrad Wicks.
Play starts at 11.00am on Saturday the 5th. May at the Works Club.
