Works Raiders scored a 4/0 result over Launceston RSL Grey, and are the A Grade Competition Leaders.  Alan Armistead, Barry Glover, Keith Coomber and Lionel Young all winning 2/0.

Exeter Social Club defeated Works Black 3/1 with Dean Wilson, Gary Bakker and Rex Swain winning, and lifting Exeter to second on the ladder.

LWC Gold defeated Works Devils 3/1 with Frank Clark, Ted Mountney and Gary Bjarnoe-Elliott winning.

Works Green had a solid win over Launceston RSL 8/4, with Glen Johansen, David Thomas & Cor Zoon winning 2/0, and Dean Wilson, and Zane Brown & Shane Franklin winning a frame each.

Works Red defeated Works Amber 7/5 in a close encounter, with Phil Rowbottom, L Wong and Bob Cain winning 2/0, and Peter Seaman 1 frame.

Exeter Social Club Green & Works Navy played a 6/6 draw, but Exeter Green remains the ladder leader.  Greg Reid (Exeter) & John Fordham (Navy) each won 2 frames.

2012 Northern Snooker Championships: All divisions close on Thursday 7th. June. Entry forms on the internet, or at the Works Club.

Tasmanian Billiards Championship: Launceston players David Bates, Graeme Pickett and Peter Donati will contest the Tasmanian Billiards Championship to be held at the Ulverstone RSL Club over the weekend of June 2/3, and they will provide keen competition against their Southern and North West opponents.  Bates was runner-up last year to the State Champion, Les Higgins of Hobart, and he will be keen to avenge that defeat.

Tasmanian 8 Ball : -  7 of 16 Rounds were played at the Launceston Workers Club on May 26/27 with the ever-green Justin Van Diepen leading the way, followed by last year’s State Team Masters Captain Chris Snare and Number 1 Qualifier for the 2008 Tasmanian Open Team Andrew Saltmarsh rounding out the top 3.

Rounds 8 - 13 will be played at the Launceston Workers Club on June 23rd and 24, with the Saturday play starting at 10.00am and players should be present by 9.30am (The Final 3 rounds will be played on Saturday July 7th, starting at 9.30am and players to be present by 9.00am) - The final days play on July 7th should be finished by 6pm (not counting play-offs) when we will know the final field to compete in the Last 24 to be played on July 14th and 15th for the 2012 State Open 8Ball Team

Vale :  The Billiards & Snooker fraternity throughout Tasmania was saddened to learn of the recent passing of Kerry Keegan of Burnie.  Kerry was a highly respected Billiard & Snooker Champion, a valued mentor to all, and a true and much liked gentleman of the game.
