Raiders pocket another big scalp

WORKS Raiders took another scalp this week, beating high profile RSL Grey in the 2011 A-grade interclub snooker roster.

Raiders won 3-1, with Barry Glover, Keith Coomber and Alan Armitage winning against former state players Robin McEnnulty, Terry Adams and Roydyn Bishop.

Exeter Black and Works Blue both scored their first wins, against Works Gold and Works Black respectively.

In A-reserve the Green Horns surprised with a close 7-5 win against last year's premier Works Amber. Works Green went to the top of the ladder with a 9-3 win over RSL White and Exeter Green opened its account, winning 9-3 against Works Red.

Best breaks this week were made by Peter Donati with 31 and 28, Michael Leslie, 29, and Lloyd Rogers, 22.

Leading players in A-grade are Keith Coomber, Gary Bakker and Alan Armitage with six wins from seven played. Leading in A-reserve are Dean Wilson with six from six, and Bob Cain and Steve Anjelkvic five from six. John Waters has won four from four.
